Pepsi is memorable!

I saw this ad from Pepsi and figured I would share it.

The ad identifies with men by saying "up until now men couldn't stand the taste of diet cola". This is almost like what we were talking about in class, where products like Dove and Diet drinks, traditionally though of as womanly, are now being marketed towards men. This would also be an example of marketers trying to juice more money out of a population that already knows their brand.

Go go marketing emotional benefits!

I saw this in the store and had to take a picture of it. Here you can see that the product isnt being marketed for what it is whatsoever. It is milk. The advertising is for liquid sunshine? Emotional benefit! This advertising is at eye level and is obviously aimed to try to get you to think of them the next time you are buying milk. Think of the emotional benefits and how happy you'll feel when you buy their product!

Go go family marketing!

I saw this in Walmart the other day and thought it was pretty funny that a kid was advertised on a box for a toaster. Then I realized it was being completely marketed towards families and their kids. Moms would see that picture and might actually see that they are buying their kids happiness and not just a toaster. Just a thought, interesting marketing all the same.
